أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَأَنَّ سَائِلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ فَقَالَ أَوَلِكُلِّكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Qutaibah bin Sa'id] dari [Malik] dari [Ibnu Syihab] dari [Sa'id bin Al Musayyab] dari [Abu Hurairah] bahwa ada Seseorang yang bertanya kepada Rasulullah Shallallahu'alaihi wasallam tentang shalat dengan satu pakaian, lalu beliau Shallallahu'alaihi wasallam bersabda, "Apakah tiap-tiap kalian mempunyai dua pakaian?"

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
