أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْحِمْصِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ عَنْ الْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَعَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ ثَلَاثًا وَعَلَى الثَّانِي وَاحِدَةً
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepadaku [Yahya bin 'Utsman Al Himshi] dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Baqiyyah] dari [Bahir bin Sa'd] dari [Khalid bin Ma'dan] dari [Jubair bin Nufair] dari [Al 'Irbadh bin Sariyah] dari Rasulullah Shallallahu'alihiwasallam bahwa beliau mendoa'akan (Rahmat dan ampunan) barisan pertama tiga kali, lalu mendo'akan barisan kedua satu kali."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
