أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَتَمَةَ فَقَرَأَ فِيهَا بِالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Qutaibah] dari [Malik] dari [Yahya bin Sa'id] dari ['Adi bin Tsabit] dari [Al Bara' bin 'Azib] dia berkata, "Aku pernah shalat Isya' bersama Rasulullah Shallallahu'alaihi wasallam, dan beliau Shallallallahu'alaihi wasallam membaca: Wattiini waz-zaituun (Surat. At-Tiin)."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
