حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَيَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَسْأَلْ الْمَرْأَةُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْفِئَ مَا فِي إِنَائِهَاقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Qutaibah] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan bin Uyainah] dari [Az Zuhri] dari [Sa'id bin Al Musayyab] dari [Abu Hurairah] hingga sampai kepada Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, beliau bersabda: "Janganlah seorang wanita meminta (seseorang) menceraikan isterinya agar orang tersebut dapat memperisterinya (hingga memenuhi kebutuhannya)." Ia mengatakan; Masih dalam bab ini diriwayatkan dari Ummu Salamah. Abu Isa berkata; Hadits Abu Hurairah adalah hadits hasan shahih.

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
