حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثَةٌ حَقٌّ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَوْنُهُمْ الْمُجَاهِدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالْمُكَاتَبُ الَّذِي يُرِيدُ الْأَدَاءَ وَالنَّاكِحُ الَّذِي يُرِيدُ الْعَفَافَقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Qutaibah] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Al Laits] dari [Ibnu Ajlan] dari [Sa'id Al Maqburi] dari [Abu Hurairah] ia berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Tiga golongan yang pasti Allah tolong; orang yang berjihad di jalan Allah, budak yang ingin merdeka dari tuannya (dengan tebusan) dan orang yang ingin menikah agar dirinya terjaga dari dosa." Abu Isa berkata, "Hadits ini derajatnya hasan."

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
