حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الَّذِي تَفُوتُهُ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ فَكَأَنَّمَا وُتِرَ أَهْلَهُ وَمَالَهُوَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ وَنَوْفَلِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عُمَرَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ الزُّهْرِيُّ أَيْضًا عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
English Translation
telah menceritakan kepada kami [Qutaibah] berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Al Laits bin Sa'd] dari [Nafi'] dari [Ibnu Umar] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, beliau bersabda: "Orang yang kehilangan shalat asar (berjama'ah) seperti orang yang kehilangan keluarga dan hartanya." Abu Isa berkata; "Hadits Ibnu Umar ini derajatnya hasan shahih. Hadits ini juga diriwayatkan oleh [Az Zuhri] dari [Salim] dari ayahnya [Ibnu Umar], dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam."

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
