حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَدَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَّةَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ وَعَلَيْهِ عِمَامَةٌ سَوْدَاءُقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَلِيٍّ وَعُمَرَ وَابْنِ حُرَيْثٍ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَرُكَانَةَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ جَابِرٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Basysyar] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami ['Abdurrahman bin Mahdi] dari [Hammad bin Salamah] dari [Abu Az Z ubair] dari [Jabir] ia berkata, "Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam masuk Makkah saat terjadi penaklukan dengan mengenakan imamah (surban yang dililitkan kepala) berwarna hitam." Abu Isa berkata, "Dalam bab ini juga ada hadits dari Ali, Umar, Ibnu Huraits, Ibnu Abbas dan Rukanah." Abu Isa berkata, "Hadits Jabir ini derajatnya hasan shahih."

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
