حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ طَعَامًا فَسَقَطَتْ لُقْمَةٌ فَلْيُمِطْ مَا رَابَهُ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ لِيَطْعَمْهَا وَلَا يَدَعْهَا لِلشَّيْطَانِقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَنَسٍ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Qutaibah], telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ibnu Lahi'ah] dari [Abu Zubair] dari [Jabir] bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Jika seseorang memakan makanan lalu sebagiannya jatuh, hendaknya dia menghilangkan debu yang mencampurinya kemudian memakannya, dan janganlah dia membiarkannya untuk setan." Hadits semakna juga diriwayatkan dari Anas.

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
