حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ هُوَ أَخُو سُفْيَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ نِعْمَ الْإِدَامُ الْخَلُّقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَأُمِّ هَانِئٍ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Al Hasan bin Arafah], telah menceritakan kepada kami [Mubarak bin Sa'id] ia adalah saudaranya Sufyan bin Sa'id Ats Tsauri, dari [Sufyan] dari [Abu Zubair] dari [Jabir] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, beliau bersabda: "Lauk yang paling nikmat adalah cuka." Hadits yang semakna juga diriwayatkan dari Aisyah dan Ummu Hani`.

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
