حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَوَى أَسْعَدَ بْنَ زُرَارَةَ مِنْ الشَّوْكَةِقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أُبَيٍّ وَجَابِرٍ وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Humaid bin Mas'adah], telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yazid bin Zura'] Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ma'mar] dari [Az Zuhri] dari [Anas] bahwasanya Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam mengobati As'ad bin Zurarah dengan Kay dari duri. Abu Isa berkata; Hadits semakna juga diriwayatkan dari Ubay dan Jabir. Hadits ini adalah hadits hasan gharib.

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
