حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ قَال سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ يَقُولُ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُمَا رَأَيْتُ الْوَجَعَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Mahmud bin Ghailan] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Dawud] telah mengkhabarkan kepada kami [Syu'bah] dari [Al A'masy] berkata: Aku mendengar [Abu Wa`il] berkata: Berkata ' [Aisyah]: Belum pernah kulihat rasa sakit pada seseorang melebihi rasa sakitnya Rasulullah Shallallahu 'alahi wa Salam. Berkata Abu Isa: Hadits ini hasan shahih.

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
