حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَمِنْ السُّنَّةِ أَنْ يُخْفِيَ التَّشَهُّدَقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ
English Translation
telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Sa'id Al Asyaj] berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yunus bin Bukair] dari [Muhammad bin Ishaq] dari [Abdurrahman bin Al Aswad] dari [Ayahnya] dari [Abdullah bin Mas'ud] ia berkata; "Ia berkata; "Termasuk sunnah adalah menyembunyikan tasyahud." Abu Isa berkata; "Hadits Ibnu Mas'ud ini derajatnya hasan gharib. Para ahli ilmu mengamalkan hadits ini."

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
