حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ صَاحِبُ الدَّقِيقِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ وَقَّتَ لَهُمْ فِي كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً تَقْلِيمَ الْأَظْفَارِ وَأَخْذَ الشَّارِبِ وَحَلْقَ الْعَانَةِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ishaq bin Manhsur] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Abdushshamad bin Abdul Warits] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Shadaqah bin Musa Abu Muhammad] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Imran Al Jauni] dari [Anas bin Malik] dari nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, bahwa beliau memberi batas waktu setiap empatpuluh malam untuk memotong kuku, mencukur kumis dan mencukur rambut kemaluan."

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
