حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَقَ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ{ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ }قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Mahmud bin Ghailan] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Ahmad Az Zubairi] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan] dari [Abu Ishaq] dari [Al Aswad bin Yazid] dari [Abdullah bin Mas'ud], bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam membaca: "FAHAL MIM MUDDAKIR (Maka adakah orang yang mau mengambil pelajaran?)." QS Al-Qamar: 15. Abu Isa berkata; Hadits ini hasan shahih.

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
