وَقَدْ رُوِيَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا صَغِيرًا كَانَ أَوْ كَبِيرًا بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِحَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا نُوحُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَوْلَى قَيْسٍ عَنْ زِيَادٍ النُّمَيْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهَذَا
English Translation
Telah diriwayatkan dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, bahwasanya beliau bersabda: "Barangsiapa membangun sebuah masjid karena Allah baik kecil maupun besar, maka Allah akan membuatkan sebuah rumah baginya di surga." [Qutaibah] menceritakan demikian kepada kami, ia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Nuh bin Qais] dari [Abdurrahman] pelayan Qais dari [Ziyad An Numairi] dari [Anas] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam seperti ini."

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
