حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ{ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ بَعْضُ آيَاتِ رَبِّكَ }قَالَ طُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَاقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ وَرَوَاهُ بَعْضُهُمْ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan bin Waki'] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ayahku] dari [Ibnu Abu Laila] dari ['Athiyah] dari [Abu Sa'id] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam tentang firman Allah 'azza wajalla Atau kedatangan beberapa ayat Rabbmu QS Al An`am: 158, Beliau bersabda: "Terbitnya matahari dari tempat terbenamnya." Abu Isa berkata; Hadits ini hasan gharib. Yang lain meriwayatkannya, namun tidak memarfu'kannya.

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
