حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ لَشَجَرَةً يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ عَامٍ لَا يَقْطَعُهَا وَإِنْ شِئْتُمْ فَاقْرَءُوا{ وَظِلٍّ مَمْدُودٍ وَمَاءٍ مَسْكُوبٍ }قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdu bin Humaid] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdur Razzaq] dari [Ma'mar] dari [Qatadah] dari [Anas] bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Sesungguhnya di Surga terdapat pohon yang jika seorang pengendara berjalan di bawah naungannya selama seratus tahun tidak mampu menyeberanginya. Apabila kalian menghendaki maka bacalah: "Dan naungan yang terbentang luas dan air yang tercurah" (QS. Alwaqi'ah 30-31). Abu Isa berkata; ini adalah hadits hasan shahih, dan di dalam bab tersebut dari Abu Sa'id.

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
