حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ دُرُسْتَ الْبَصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَمَّادٌ هُوَ عِنْدَنَا مَرْفُوعٌ{ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ }قَالَ يَقُومُونَ فِي الرَّشْحِ إِلَى أَنْصَافِ آذَانِهِمْ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Durust Al Bashri] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hammad bin Zaid] dari [Ayyub] dari [Nafi'] dari [Ibnu Umar]. Hammad berkata; hadits tersebut menurut kami adalah hadits marfu': yauma yaquumun naasu lirabbil 'aalamiin (QS. Almuthaffifin 6). ia berkata; salah seorang diantara mereka berdiri di dalam keringat mereka hingga setengah telinga mereka.

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
