حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى بَصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَثَّامُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْقِدُ التَّسْبِيحَ بِيَدِهِقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ وَرَوَى شُعْبَةُ وَالثَّوْرِيُّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ بِطُولِهِ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ يُسَيْرَةَ بِنْتِ يَاسِرٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ اعْقِدْنَ بِالْأَنَامِلِ فَإِنَّهُنَّ مَسْئُولَاتٌ مُسْتَنْطَقَاتٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Abdul A'la Bashri] telah menceritakan kepada kami ['Atstsam bin Ali] dari [Al A'masy] dari ['Atho` bin As Saib] dari [ayahnya] dari [Abdullah bin 'Amr] ia berkata; aku melihat Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam menghitung tasbih menggunakan tangannya. Abu Isa berkata; hadits ini adalah hadits hasan gharib dari jalur ini dari hadits Al A'masy dari 'Atho` bin As Saib. Dan [Syu'bah] serta [Ats Tsauri] telah meriwayatkan hadits ini dari ['Atho` bin As Saib] secara panjang. Dan dalam bab tersebut terdapat riwayat dari Yusairah binti Yasir dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, ia berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu wa'alaihi wa sallam bersabda: "Wahai para wanita, hitunglah menggunakan ruas-ruas jari, karena sesungguhnya ruas-ruas tersebut akan ditanya dan diminta untuk berbicara."

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
