حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَقَ عَنْ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا عَادَ مَرِيضًا قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ أَذْهِبْ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ وَاشْفِ فَأَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًاقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan bin Waki'] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Adam] dari [Israil] dari [Abu Ishaq] dari [Al Harits] dari [Ali] radliallahu 'anhu, ia berkata; Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam apabila menjenguk orang sakit beliau berdoa: "ALLAAHUMMA ADZHIBIL BA`SA, RABBAN NAASI, WASYFI, FA-ANTASY SYAAFII, LAA SYIFFAA-A ILLAA SYIFAAUKA, SYIFAA-AN LAA YUGHAADIRU SAQAMAN (Ya Allah, Tuhan manusia, hilangkanlah penyakit, dan sembuhkanlah, Engkau adalah Pemberi kesembuhan, tidak ada kesembuhan kecuali kesembuhanMu, kesembuhan yang tidak meninggalkan sakit." Abu Isa berkata; hadits ini adalah hadits hasan.

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
