حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَأَنْ أَقُولَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Kuraib] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Mu'awiyah] dari [Al A'masy] dari [Abu Shalih] dari [Abu Hurairah radliallahu 'anhu] dia berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Sungguh perkataanku, SUBHAANALLAHI WAL HAMDULILLAHI WALAA ILAAHA ILLA ALLAH WA ALLAHU AKBAR (maha suci Allah, segala pujian hanya milik Allah, tiada Ilah melainkan Allah dan Allah Maha Besar), itu lebih aku sukai dari terbitnya matahari." Abu Isa berkata; "Hadits ini derajatnya hasan shahih."

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
