حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَبَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِذْ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَصَلَّيْتَ قَالَ لَا قَالَ قُمْ فَارْكَعْقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ أَصَحُّ شَيْءٍ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Qutaibah] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hammad bin Zaid] dari [Amru bin Dinar] dari [Jabir bin Abdullah] dia berkata, ketika Nabi Shallahu 'alaihi wa sallam berkhutbah pada hari Jum'at, tiba-tiba seorang laki-laki datang, maka Nabi Shallahu 'alaihi wa sallam bersabda: "Apakah kamu sudah shalat?" dia menjawab, belum. Beliau bersabda: "Bangun dan kerjakanlah shalat." Abu Isa berkata, ini adalah hadits hasan shahih, lebih shahih dalam bab ini.

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
