حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي رِزْمَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ أَبُو الْمُنِيبِ الْعَتَكِيِّ عَنْ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَعَلَ لِلْجَدَّةِ السُّدُسَ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ دُونَهَا أُمٌّ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz bin Abu Rizmah], telah mengabarkan kepadaku [ayahku], telah menceritakan kepada kami ['Ubaidullah Abu Al Munib Al 'Ataki], dari [Ibnu Buraidah] dari [ayahnya], bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam telah memberikan nenek bagian seperenam apabila tidak ada ibu bersamanya.

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
