قَالَ لَنَا حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَقَ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الدَّوَاءِ الْخَبِيثِ
English Translation
Ia telah berkata kepada kami; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Harun bin Abdullah] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Bisyr] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yunus bin Abu Ishaq] dari [Mujahid] dari [Abu Hurairah] ia berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam melarang mengunakan obat yang telah diharamkan."

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
