حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ النَّمَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَقَ عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَهُ شَعْرٌ يَبْلُغُ شَحْمَةَ أُذُنَيْهِ وَرَأَيْتُهُ فِي حُلَّةٍ حَمْرَاءَ لَمْ أَرَ شَيْئًا قَطُّ أَحْسَنَ مِنْهُ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hafsh bin Umar An Namri] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Syu'bah] dari [Abu Ishaq] dari [Al Bara] ia berkata, "Rambut Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam panjangnya hingga daun telinga, aku pernah melihat beliau mengenakan pakian berwarna merah, dan aku tidak pernah melihat seseorang yang lebih bagus dari beliau."

Imam Abu Dawud compiled Sunan Abu Dawud from approximately 500,000 hadiths, selecting 5,274. His collection is particularly focused on fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and legal rulings. He personally wrote to Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal informing him of the work, and received his approval.
Abu Dawud said: 'I wrote 500,000 hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ, then selected this book from them.' He focused especially on rulings related to halal and haram.
