حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ وَأَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ لِبْسَتَيْنِ عَنْ اشْتِمَالِ الصَّمَّاءِ وَعَنْ الِاحْتِبَاءِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ يُفْضِي بِفَرْجِهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Bakar bin Abu Syaibah] Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdullah bin Numair] dan [Abu Usamah] dari ['Ubaidillah bin Umar] dari [Khubaib bin Abdurrahman] dari [Hafsh bin 'Ashim] dari [Abu Hurairah], bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam melarang mengenakan dua jenis pakaian; pakaian shama` dan ikhtiba` dengan satu kain seraya menengadahkan kemaluannya ke langit."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
