حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ زَيْدَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَأَهْدَى إِلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُلَّةَ سِيَرَاءَ فَلَبِسْتُهَا فَرَأَيْتُ الْغَضَبَ فِي وَجْهِهِ فَشَقَقْتُهَا بَيْنَ نِسَائِي
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hajjaj bin Minhal] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Syu'bah] berkata, telah menceritakan kepadaku ['Abdul Malik bin Maisarah] berkata, aku mendengar [Zaid bin Wahb] dari ['Ali radliallahu 'anhu] berkata: "Aku diberi hadiah kain bermotif garis dari sutera oleh Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam lalu aku kenakan, maka nampak aku lihat kemarahan dari raut wajah Beliau. Kemudian aku bagikan untuk isteri-isteriku".

Imam al-Bukhari dedicated 16 years to compiling Sahih al-Bukhari, selecting approximately 7,275 hadiths from over 600,000 narrations he examined. His strict conditions for accepting a hadith — requiring narrator continuity, reliable memory, and confirmed meeting between narrators — make it the most rigorously authenticated hadith collection in Islamic scholarship.
Imam al-Bukhari would perform ghusl and pray two rak'ahs before recording each hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari is universally regarded as the most authentic book after the Quran.
