حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ خِذَامٍ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَلَمَّا غَسَّلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَهَبَ يَلْتَمِسُ مِنْهُ مَا يَلْتَمِسُ مِنْ الْمَيِّتِ فَلَمْ يَجِدْهُ فَقَالَ بِأَبِي الطَّيِّبُ طِبْتَ حَيًّا وَطِبْتَ مَيِّتًا
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Khidzam] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Shafwan bin Isa] berkata, telah memberitakan kepada kami [Ma'mar] dari [Az Zuhri] dari [Sa'id bin Al Musayyab] dari [Ali bin Abu Thalib] ia berkata, "Ketika Ali memandikan Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, ia mencari sesuatu yang biasa di cari pada mayit yang lain (kotoran), tetapi ia tidak mendapatinya. Ia lantas berkata, "Demi ayahku, engkau baik dalam di masa hidup dan matimu. "

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
