حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ هَانِئٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْعِرْبَاضَ بْنَ سَارِيَةَ يَقُولُكُنْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ اقْضِنِي بَكْرِي فَأَعْطَاهُ بَعِيرًا مُسِنًّا فَقَالَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا أَسَنُّ مِنْ بَعِيرِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ خَيْرُهُمْ قَضَاءً
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Zaid bin Al Hubab] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Mu'awiyah bin Shalih] berkata, telah menceritakan kepadaku [Sa'id bin Hani] ia berkata; Aku mendengar [Al 'Irbadl bin Sariah] ia berkata, "Aku berada di sisi Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, lalu muncullah seorang arab badui dan berkata, "Bayarlah unta milikku! " beliau pun memberinya unta yang telah berumur (dewasa), hingga arab badui itu berkata, "Wahai Rasulullah, unta ini lebih tua dari unta milikku! " Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam lantas menjawab: "Sebaik-baik orang adalah yang paling baik dalam memberi pembayarannya."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
