حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّقَ نَخْلَ بَنِي النَّضِيرِ وَقَطَعَ وَهِيَ الْبُوَيْرَةُ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ{ مَا قَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ لِينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوهَا قَائِمَةً }الْآيَةَ الْآيَةَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Rumh]; telah menberitakan kepada kami [Al Laits bin Sa'ad] dari [Nafi'] dari [Ibnu Umar], ia berkata; "Sesungguhnya Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam membakar pohon kurma bani Nadlir dan menebasnya, yaitu kawasan Buwairah, kemudian Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala menurunkan ayat: 'Apa saja yang kamu tebang dari pohon kurma (milik orang-orang kafir) atau yang kamu biarkan (tumbuh) berdiri di atas pokoknya (Qs. Al Hasyr 99: 5).'"

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
