حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّقَ نَخْلَ بَنِي النَّضِيرِ وَقَطَعَ وَفِيهِ يَقُولُ شَاعِرُهُمْ فَهَانَ عَلَى سَرَاةِ بَنِي لُؤَيٍّحَرِيقٌ بِالْبُوَيْرَةِ مُسْتَطِيرُ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdullah bin Sa'id]; telah menceritakan kepada kami ['Uqbah bin Khalid] dari [Ubaidullah] dari [Nafi'] dari [Ibnu Umar], ia berkata; "Sesungguhnya Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam membakar pohon kurma bani Nadlir dan menebasnya. Di dalam hal ini seorang penyair berkata; 'Maka mudah bagi seorang majikan bani Luay membakar kawasan Buwairah sehingga bercerai-berai.'"

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
