حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَقَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ قَالَتْلَمَّا اطْمَأَنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ طَافَ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ يَسْتَلِمُ الرُّكْنَ بِمِحْجَنٍ بِيَدِهِ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا حَمَامَةَ عَيْدَانٍ فَكَسَرَهَا ثُمَّ قَامَ عَلَى بَابِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَرَمَى بِهَا وَأَنَا أَنْظُرُهُ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numair]; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yunus bin Bukair]; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Ishaq] dari [Muhammad bin Ja'far bin Az Zubair] dari [Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Abu Tsaur] dari [Shafiyyah binti Syaibah], ia berkata; "Ketika Rasulullah merasa tenang saat hari penaklukan kota Makkah, beliau lantas thawaf di atas untanya dan mengusap rukun (Hajar Aswad) dengan tongkat yang ada di tangannya. Kemudian beliau masuk ke dalam Ka'bah dan di dalamnya mendapati patung merpati panjang yang terbuat dari pohon kurma. Lalu beliau menghancurkannya dan berdiri di depan pintu Ka'bah seraya melemparkannya. Saat itu aku melihatnya."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
