حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَهَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ إِسْمَعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَلَمْ يُرَخِّصْ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَحَدٍ يَبِيتُ بِمَكَّةَ إِلَّا لِلْعَبَّاسِ مِنْ أَجْلِ السِّقَايَةِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ali bin Muhammad] dan [Hannad bin As Sari], keduanya berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Mu'awiyah] dari [Isma'il bin Muslim] dari [Atha`] dari [Ibnu Abbas] berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam tidak meringankan seorang pun bermalam di Makkah kecuali kepada 'Abbas dikarenakan ia memberikan air minum untuk jama'ah haji.

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
