حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تُمَيْلَةَ عَنْ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ جُنَادَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا انْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ قَالَ جِبْرِيلُ بِإِصْبَعِهِ فَخَرَقَ بِهِ الْحَجَرَ وَشَدَّ بِهِ الْبُرَاقَقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ya'qub bin Ibrahim Ad Dauraqi] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Tumailah] dari [Az Zubair bin Junadah] dari [Ibnu Buraidah] dari [ayahnya] berkata: Rasulullah Shallallahu 'alaihi wa Salam bersabda: "Saat kami tiba di Baitul Maqdis, Jibril berkata dengan jarinya lalu ia lubangi batu dan beliau pergunakan untuk menguatkan Buraq." Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
