حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ نَضْلَةَ قَالَتُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَمَا تُدْعَى رِبَاعُ مَكَّةَ إِلَّا السَّوَائِبَ مَنْ احْتَاجَ سَكَنَ وَمَنْ اسْتَغْنَى أَسْكَنَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Bakar bin Abu Syaibah] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Isa bin Yunus] dari [Umar bin Sa'id bin Abu Husain] dari [Utsman bin Abu Sulaiman] dari ['Alqamah bin Nadllah] dia berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam telah wafat, begitu juga Abu Bakar dan Umar, dan tidaklah rumah-rumah yang ada di Makkah didatangi, kecuali tempat-tempat itu kosong, siapa yang membutuhkan maka ia berhak untuk menempatinya, namun jika ia tidak membutuhkannya maka ia memberikan tempat tersebut (kepada yang lainnya)."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
