حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُجَالِدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَدِيِّ ابْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا قَوْمٌ نَرْمِي قَالَ إِذَا رَمَيْتَ وَخَزَقْتَ فَكُلْ مَا خَزَقْتَ
English Translation
Telah memberitakan kepada kami [Ali bin Al Mundzir] telah memberitakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Fudlail] telah memberitakan kepada kami [Mujalid bin Sa'id] dari ['Amir] dari ['Adi bin Hatim] dia berkata, "Saya berkata, 'Wahai Rasulullah, kami adalah kaum yang biasa berburu dengan panah?" Beliau bersabda: "Jika kamu memanah dan mengenai sasaran, maka makanlah (hewan buruan) dari hasil panahmu."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
