حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ وَابْنُ أَبِي رِزْمَةَ وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ{ مَا كَذَبَ الْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَى }قَالَ رَآهُ بِقَلْبِهِقَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdu bin Humaid] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdur Razzaq] dan [Ibnu Abu Rizmah] serta [Abu Nu'aim] dari [Israil] dari [Simak] dari [Ikrimah] dari [Ibnu Abbas], ia berkomentar tentang ayat; "Hatinya tidak mendustakan apa yang telah dilihatnya." (QS. ANnajm 11), Ia berkata; ia melihatNya dengan hatinya. Abu Isa berkata; hadits hasan.

Imam at-Tirmidhi was a student of Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud. His collection is distinctive for including the grading (hasan, sahih, da'if) of each hadith alongside notes on which madhab (legal school) relies on it — making it both a hadith collection and a work of hadith criticism.
Jami' at-Tirmidhi is the only collection in the Kutub al-Sittah where the compiler grades every hadith himself, notes scholarly differences, and indicates legal usage.
