حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الدِّيبَاجِ وَالْحَرِيرِ وَالْإِسْتَبْرَقِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Bakar bin Abu Syaibah] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ali bin Mushir] dari [Asy Syaibani] dari [Asy'ats bin Abu Asy Sya'tsa`] dari [Mu'awiyah bin Suwaid] dari [Al Barra`] dia berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam melarang mengenakan pakaian dibaj (kain bersulam sutera), kain sutera murni dan istabraq (pakaian tebal yang bercampur sutera)."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
