حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الْمَكِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ أَبَرُّ قَالَ أُمَّكَ قَالَ ثُمَّ مَنْ قَالَ أُمَّكَ قَالَ ثُمَّ مَنْ قَالَ أَبَاكَ قَالَ ثُمَّ مَنْ قَالَ الْأَدْنَى فَالْأَدْنَى
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Maimun Al Makki] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan bin 'Uyainah] dari ['Umarah bin Al qa'qa'] dari [Abu Zur'ah] dari [Abu Hurairah] dia berkata, "Para sahabat bertanya, "Wahai Rasulullah, siapakah orang (yang layak) aku berbakti kepadanya?" beliau bersabda: "Ibumu." Abu Hurairah bertanya lagi, "Kemudian siapa?" beliau menjawab: "Ibumu." Dia bertanya lagi, "Kemudian siapa?" beliau menjawab: "Ibumu." Dia bertanya lagi, "Kemudian siapa lagi?" beliau menjawab: "Ayahmu." Dia bertanya lagi, "Kemudian siapa?" beliau menjawab: "Orang yang ada di bawahnya dan seterusnya."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
