حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الضُّبَعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الرِّفَاعِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَفْتِحُ صَلَاتَهُ يَقُولُ سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Zaid Ibnul Hubab] berkata, telah menceritakan kepadaku [Ja'far bin Sulaiman Adl Dluba'i] berkata, telah menceritakan kepadaku [Ali bin Ali Ar Rifa'i] dari [Abu Al Mutawakkil] dari [Abu Sa'id Al Khudri] ia berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam membuka shalatnya dengan membaca: "SUBHAANAKA ALLAHUMMA WA BIHAMDIKA TABAARAKASMUKA WA TA'ALAA JADDUKA WA LAA ILAAHA GHAIRUKA (Maha suci Engkau ya Allah, dan dengan memuji-Mu, nama-Mu berbarakah dan kemuliaan-Mu sangat agung, dan tidak ada Tuhan selain Engkau)."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
