و حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ ح و حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَكَرَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَ فِيهِ سَاعَةٌ لَا يُوَافِقُهَا عَبْدٌ مُسْلِمٌ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُزَادَ قُتَيْبَةُ فِي رِوَايَتِهِ وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ يُقَلِّلُهَا
English Translation
Dan Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Yahya] ia berkata, saya telah membacakan kepada [Malik] -dalam jalur lain- Dan Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Qutaibah bin Sa'id] dari [Malik bin Anas] dari [Abu Zinad] dari [Al A'raj] dari [Abu Hurairah] bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam menyebutkan tentang hari Jum'at, maka beliau bersabda: "Di dalamnya terdapat satu waktu, tidaklah seorang muslim mendapati waktu itu lalu berdoa memohon kebaikan kepada Allah, kecuali Allah akan mengabulkan permohonannya." Qutaibah menambahkan di dalam riwayatnya; Beliau memberikan isyarat dengan tangannya, yakni waktunya sempit.

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
