و حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ وَحَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَرْمَلَةُ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ يَقْدَمُ مَكَّةَ إِذَا اسْتَلَمَ الرُّكْنَ الْأَسْوَدَ أَوَّلَ مَا يَطُوفُ حِينَ يَقْدَمُ يَخُبُّ ثَلَاثَةَ أَطْوَافٍ مِنْ السَّبْعِ
English Translation
Dan telah menceritakan kepadaku [Abu Thahir] dan [Harmalah bin Yahya] -Harmalah berkata- telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ibnu Wahb] telah mengabarkan kepadaku [Yunus] dari [Ibnu Syihab] bahwa [Salim bin Abdullah] telah mengabarkan kepadanya bahwa [Abdullah bin Umar] berkata; "Saya melihat Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam saat beliau datang ke Makkah. Bila beliau hendak mencium Hajar Aswad, maka pertama kali datang beliau thawaf qudum, dari tujuh kali putaran, beliau berlari-lari kecil sebanyak tiga kali putaran."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
