حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ ح و حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَلَمْ أَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْسَحُ مِنْ الْبَيْتِ إِلَّا الرُّكْنَيْنِ الْيَمَانِيَيْنِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Yahya] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Laits] -dalam riwayat lain- Dan Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Qutaibah] Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Laits] dari [Ibnu Syihab] dari [Salim bin Abdullah] dari [Abdullah bin Umar] bahwa ia berkata; "Aku tidak pernah melihat Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam menyentuh Baitullah melainkan pada dua sudut, yaitu sudut hajar Aswad dan sudut Yamani."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
