حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَهَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ رَوْحِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّاءُ بْنُ إِسْحَقَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَثَ بِمَكَّةَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ وَتُوُفِّيَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ishaq bin Ibrahim] dan [Harun bin 'Abdillah] dari [Rauh bin 'Ubadah]; Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Zakaria bin Ishaq] dari ['Amru bin Dinar] dari [Ibnu 'Abbas] "Sesungguhnya Rasulullah menetap di Makkah selama tiga belas tahun, dan beliau meninggal ketika berusia enam puluh tiga tahun."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
