و حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ الضُّبَعِيِّ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَأَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَكَّةَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرًا وَمَاتَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً
English Translation
Dan telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ibnu Abu 'Umar]; Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Bisyr bin As Sari]; Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hammad] dari [Abu Jamrah Adh Dhuba'i] dari [Ibnu Abbas] dia berkata; "Rasulullah menetap di Makkah setelah menjadi Nabi selama tiga belas tahun, sedangkan di Madinah selama sepuluh tahun dan beliau meninggal ketika berusia enam puluh tiga tahun."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
