قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ قَارِظٍ أَخْبَرَهُأَنَّهُ وَجَدَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَتَوَضَّأُ عَلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ أَثْوَارِ أَقِطٍ أَكَلْتُهَا لِأَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتْ النَّارُ
English Translation
(Masih dari jalur periwayatan yang sama dengan hadits sebelumnya), [Ibnu Syihab] berkata, telah mengabarkan kepadaku [Umar bin Abdul Aziz] bahwa [Abdullah bin Ibrahim bin Qarizh] telah mengabarkan kepadanya bahwa dia mendapatkan [Abu Hurairah] berwudhu di masjid, maka dia berkata, "Aku hanya berwudhu karena aku makan sepotong keju karena aku mendengar Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda, 'Berwudhulah kalian, disebabkan makan (daging) yang dibakar'."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
