قَالَ عَمْرٌو وَحَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي غَطَفَانَ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَأَشْهَدُ لَكُنْتُ أَشْوِي لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَطْنَ الشَّاةِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ
English Translation
Berkata [Amru] dan telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sa'id bin Abi Hilal] dari [Abdullah bin Ubaidillah bin Abi Rafi'] dari [Abu Ghathafan] dari [Abu Rafi'] dia berkata, "Saya bersaksi aku pernah membakar perut kambing untuk Rasulullah Shallallahu'alaihiwasallam, kemudian beliau shalat tanpa berwudhu lagi."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
