أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْخَسَفَتْ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِي أَنْ الصَّلَاةَ جَامِعَةً فَاجْتَمَعُوا وَاصْطَفُّوا فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَأَرْبَعَ سَجَدَاتٍ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami ['Amru bin 'Utsman bin Sa'id] dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Al Walid] dari [Al Auza'i] dari [Az Zuhri] dari ['Urwah] dari ['Aisyah] dia berkata; " Telah terjadi gerhana matahari pada masa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, lalu Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam memerintahkan mu'adzin untuk menyeru 'Ash Shalatu Jami'ah' (marilah kita bersama tegakkan shalat), maka orang-orang berkumpul dan menyusun barisan, kemudian beliau shalat dua rakaat bersama mereka, dengan empat kali ruku' dan empat kali sujud."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
