أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ بَقِيَّةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَحِيرٌ عَنْ خَالِدٍ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍأَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ الصِّيَامِ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَصُومُ شَعْبَانَ كُلَّهُ وَيَتَحَرَّى صِيَامَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepadaku ['Amr bin 'Utsman] dari [Baqiyyah] dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Bahir] dari [Khalid] dari [Jubair bin Nufair] bahwasanya seorang lelaki bertanya kepada ['Aisyah] ia menjawab; "Sesungguhnya Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam berpuasa di bulan Sya'ban semuanya (satu bulan penuh) dan memilih berpuasa pada hari senin dan kamis."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
