أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْقَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَا أَطْهُرُ أَفَأَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ عِرْقٌ وَلَيْسَتْ بِالْحَيْضَةِ فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتْ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ قَدْرُهَا فَاغْسِلِي عَنْكِ الدَّمَ وَصَلِّي
English Translation
Telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Qutaibah bin Sa'id] dari [Malik] dari [Hisyam bin 'Urwah] dari [Ayahnya], dari [Aisyah Radliyallahu'nha] dia berkata; "Fatimah binti Abu Hubaisy berkata, 'Wahai Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, aku tidak suci. Apakah aku harus meninggalkan shalat?" Beliau shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam menjawab, " Itu hanya darah penyakit, bukan darah haid. Bila datang waktu haid maka tinggalkanlah shalat, dan jika telah selesai waktu kebiasaan haid, maka cucilah (bersihkanlah) tempat darah itu dan shalatlah."

Imam an-Nasa'i applied the strictest conditions of all Sunan compilers. He first wrote a larger collection (as-Sunan al-Kubra) then condensed it into al-Mujtaba. He was particularly rigorous in identifying weaknesses in narrator chains, resulting in a collection of very high reliability.
An-Nasa'i's conditions for accepting narrators were stricter than those of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi, making al-Mujtaba one of the most critically refined of the Sunan collections.
